Text Insights Counter ("we," "our," or "the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our Chrome extension.

We do not collect any personal information. All text analysis is performed entirely on your device. No text content, usage statistics, or personal data is ever sent to any server or third party.

3. Required Permissions

activeTab

Allows the extension to access the current tab's content when you use the right-click context menu to analyze selected text. Only activated when you explicitly invoke the extension.

contextMenus

Enables the right-click menu option for quick text analysis on any webpage.

storage

Used to save your preferences locally on your device, including your selected theme, most recent analyzed text, and feature settings.

4. Data Storage

The extension uses Chrome's built-in storage API to save data locally on your device. This includes:

  • Your selected theme preference (light, dark, or system)
  • Most recent analyzed text for quick reference
  • Analysis history (stored locally only)
  • PRO feature status

This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

5. PRO Features

All PRO features (reading time, readability score, word frequency, HTML detection, analysis history, and smart filtering) are provided completely free of charge. No payment, subscription, or account is required.

6. Third-Party Services

Text Insights Counter does not integrate with any third-party services, APIs, or analytics platforms. The extension operates entirely offline after installation.

7. Data Sharing

We do NOT:

  • Collect or store any user data on external servers
  • Share any information with third parties
  • Use any analytics, tracking, or advertising services
  • Transmit any text content you analyze

8. Children's Privacy

Text Insights Counter does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The extension is safe for use by all ages.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
